A-Level OCR H163/563
Photography A-Level is an exciting course aimed at creative students with a passion for recording images. The course is an endorsed Art and Design A-Level. We explore the creative potential of photography to produce original outcomes. Working almost exclusively with digital photography, students have the opportunity to edit and manipulate images digitally. Alongside access to the Apple Mac Suite the course aims to combine artistic ability with the skills required to communicate ideas and observations effectively.
During the AS year you will learn about
contemporary and past photographers,
taking inspiration from a wide range of set themes.
Your ideas and photoshoots will be presented in
the format of a sketch book and digital portfolio.
The A2 year is focused around a ‘personal investigation’ where you select a
theme and explore your own ideas. Students are encouraged to cover
different genres of Photography for assessment.
