Falmouth College Performing Arts students travelled to the Minack Theatre last week to showcase their skills in front of live audiences. Amidst the stunning backdrop of Porthcurno beach, it was Year 13 students Chloe Hunt and Katie Pewsey up first, who participated in the Primary Schools festival of dance.
The girls then joined Year 12 students Tadhg Cullen, Alex Ould, Josh Talbot and Zyra Claudius to rehearse Elizabethan monologues and extracts from the Ancient Greek comedy Lysistrata, much to the entertainment of tourists visiting the site.
The performance formed part of the students BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma and will count towards their grades in the summer.
Course leader Jeremy Eden said “This is such an extraordinary performance space and we are so lucky to have had the opportunity to come and use it. We hope that this will be the start of a growing relationship with the Minack, as there is so much that we do at Falmouth College that would look great on this stage.”
