Members of the Falmouth School Anti-Bullying Ambassador team headed to local radio station Source FM this week, to spread the message for Anti-Bullying. Head Girl Abbie Burley and Deputy Head Boy Hugo Arbones were given a slot live on air to talk about what is an important subject.
Abbie and Hugo spoke with presenter ‘Pagan Tony’ for close to half an hour about how the team had formed recently and about last week’s anti-bullying week – a national theme. They also spoke about how the role came about, their first tasks and future plans in the role as well as passing on knowledge to future ambassadors. The Anti-Bullying Ambassadors and Falmouth School are planning to continue the partnership with Source FM and we hope to bring you a series of podcasts in the near future.
Abbie said “It was great to have the opportunity to spread the word about the positive changes we’re trying to make at the school, whilst getting involved a new personal experience.” Hugo added “Hopefully as many people as possible will have heard us. The students know who we are, where to find us and how we can help already, so it’s just a case of making sure we keep getting the message out.”
