News Back

After almost a year since the first covid lockdown, students are back at Falmouth School in the hope that we don’t experience the challenges of the past 12 months again. During this time there has been a monumental effort from all of our students and parents/carers with home learning and of course our staff too. We launched our #LockdownHeroes nominations last week and have been blown away with the responses. The messages have been so lovely to read and an incredible 52 different nominations were made, with 18 staff members receiving at least more than one vote.

While we recognise the contribution of every nomination, which you can see via the link below, Mr Cilia, Miss Barry, Miss Clouston, Mrs Brooker, Mrs Salatas and Ms Tredget picked up the most individual votes. You can see all of our nominees and some of the lovely comments made by clicking here. Well done to everyone who was nominated and well done to all of our students and parents/carers.

Headteacher Alex George said “I know all of our staff have worked incredibly hard over the last year, whether classroom based or in our non-teaching team. It is great that parents have felt that they want to give special mention to those teachers that they particularly appreciate and many congratulations to them!"
