GCSE and equivalent results 2021

The Year 11 class of 2021 have certainly had a challenging time through their qualifications but this hasn’t stopped them from achieving a great set of results that show they have worked really hard. As a group they have been a really positive and friendly group within the school community and so we have been delighted by their success over their time in school, so huge congratulations to them all!

In terms of final outcomes there are many with amazing results and also those who have made fantastic progress over their time in school. Kieran attained a fantastic set of results with grade 9, 8, A* or Distinction* in every subject he took! Lauren achieved 6 grade 9s and a Distinction*, whilst Gabriel, Harriette and Lucie all achieved top grades 8 or 9 in 10 subjects. These top attainers were chased closely by Nia, Connor, Jacob and Jasmine, who completed the top ten attaining students.

Students making the most progress over their time in the school were Erin, Jasmine, Anna, Ella and Gracie. These students made an average of more than three grades higher than would have been expected when compared to national averages. This shows real determination and consistent hard work through their school careers. Other students in the top ten for progress were Thea, Henry, Emmi, Phoebe and Lucie, who all achieved more than 2½ grades higher on average than national expectations!

Interim Headteacher, Alex George, said ‘Year 11 is always a challenging year for students, but this year group have faced more than any other; yet they have continued to work hard, support each other and are growing into an open and friendly group of young adults. It is wonderful to be able to celebrate how well they have all achieved and it has been a privilege to see them develop over their time in Falmouth School. Staff have enjoyed working with this year group and have been delighted that their hard work can be recognised in their results. I look forward to seeing many of them move on into our post-16 provision in Falmouth College. We wish every one of them the best for the future!’
