Dear Parents and Carers
January is drawing to a close and there are many things to share with you. It has been amazing to see so many Year 10 and Year 12 students and their families joining us for our launch of Work Experience 2023. The work experience presents a multitude of opportunities for every young person. It not only enhances the quality of education but intrinsically links all the life skills we teach across the curriculum, including mindful and polite communication, following instructions, taking responsibility for one’s actions and really thoughtfully developing positive working relationships with adults and peers.

As you will have seen from my communication to you last week we have had confirmation from NEU that members of the union intend to take formal industrial action by participating in a strike which will take place on 1 February 2023.
Falmouth School will therefore only be open to Year 11 students and those students we feel would benefit from being in school rather than learning remotely at home. We would like your son/daughter to attend school on Wednesday 1 February at the normal school start time.

Tuesday 24 January – Mr Lumbers and Mrs Taylor will be delivering a work experience information evening for Year 10 and 12 parents and carers from 5.00pm to 6.00pm
