    17th March 2023
Dear Parent(s) / Carer(s) As you are aware, Falmouth School underwent an Ofsted inspection on 7 & 8 February 2023 and I am pleased to share with you the Ofsted outcomes. I was appointed as Falmouth School’s Headteacher from 1 January 2023, and at the point of the Ofsted inspection I had served 25 school days in this role. You may ask if there is a good time for an Ofsted inspection and for Falmouth School, yes, this was a good time. 15 March 2023 Dear Parents and Carers, I am writing to update you on the recent events that have taken place at Falmouth School so that you are fully informed, can actively engage with us and support us. World Book Day Thank you to everyone who supported World Book Day on Friday 4 March. The Junior Leadership Team raised an impressive £73.71 to support the reading resources building at Falmouth School. I commend their creative skills and their ability to produce so many complex delights. Thank you to everyone at home who supported our students to undertake this venture. It was great to see so many colleagues participate actively in this event whilst promoting the love for reading. I hope that my Mary Poppins costume keeps for next year as I hope that in 2024, all of us, as the Falmouth Family, will be able to build on this event further and create a range of exciting activities promoting creative writing, storytelling and celebrating the diverse literary genres for all of us to explore together.

    10th March 2023
Dear Parent/Carer, Re: Planned strike action at Falmouth School on 15th & 16th March 2023 We write further to our previous correspondence to update you on the progress of our contingency planning during the forthcoming strike action in schools. Background We have had confirmation from NEU that members of the union intend to take formal industrial action by participating in a strike which will take place on 15th & 16th March 2023. The strike action is in relation to a national dispute around teacher and school staff pay. I wanted to take this opportunity to further explain the dispute and to also outline the school’s plans during the strike.
