We are delighted that our students and staff have been so successful under the school vision and plan we set ourselves in 2016. The outcomes achieved have been excellent over this period on a range of different measures. There has been great news for Falmouth School this week. The Government’s official statistics were published on Thursday which include exam results for A levels and GCSEs. ‘The Times’ newspaper has collated all this information and picked out its top ten schools in each county. They have named Falmouth School as the top school in Cornwall which is fabulous news!

Over the past week it has been fabulous to see and hear of our students involved in so many extra-curricular events. At the RNLI concert in Falmouth Methodist church playing with Pendennis Brass band, dancing as part of ‘The Hotel Experience’ community dance event, playing for so many local sports clubs, competing in the Rotary Young Chef competition, as well as helping out in charity shops in town.

Immediately before the half term holiday the Government issued information which forms the school performance tables. I am delighted to inform you that Falmouth School students have once again achieved results which place the school highly in all categories and well above national averages, with a first, two seconds a third and a fourth place among the 31 state secondary schools in Cornwall.
