13.05.22 Letter to Parents

May 13th 2022

Friday 13 May 2022

Dear Parents, Carers and Families,

I hope that this letter finds both you and your families well.

The examination season has already begun for students in years 11 and 13. This is a very busy and exciting time for them.

You will be aware that external examinations have not taken place over the past two years and schools have therefore not required invigilators.

In preparation for this exam season, we are now recruiting a new team of invigilators. If this is a position that you or someone you know, feels able to take on, please have a look at the job description which can be found on our vacancies page so that you are aware of what the role entails. Please consider this role even if you only have a few hours a week to spare. We look forward to hearing from you and to receiving your application.

This week many students have been enjoying the rewards that they earned last term through gaining so many praise points. Students have been able to choose from a wide range of celebratory activities and even helped by suggesting what they would like to do. For example, there have been trampolining sessions, hot chocolate and cake, 3D sign creation and cream tea making, and sampling of course! The praise point counts have started again this term, so anyone can win again. Well done to last term’s winners and good luck for this term!

Looking forward to next week, we always want to start the week on a positive note with all students in correct uniform. We appreciate your help in this, ensuring your child has a tie and blazer, appropriate footwear and no facial piercings. Please contact us if you are experiencing any difficulty with school uniform on enquiries@falmouthschool.net.

Thank you for your continued support.

Yours faithfully,

Brenda de Sousa
