Welcome back to the start of 2015. Please click here to download a document that sets out our additional support for students after school on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 3:15pm – 4:15pm for the Spring Term 2015. These sessions are available for any student to attend to get additional support such as help with Homework, extra help on a topic they are working on or just a quiet place to work after school. The Homework Club in the Library will continue so these sessions give students even greater opportunities to be able to extend their studies.

At the same time we have amended the Homework Policy for the school to ensure that there are at least five clear days between Homework being set and due in. The policy of issuing an after school detention for those students not completing their Homework will remain but, with the extra time and additional support opportunities, there should not be any reason for Homework not being done.

Please don’t forget about the Spring Term meetings that are available with both myself and the Chair of Governors. These meetings do not require an appointment and we are both available to listen to any points or questions you may have about the school. The details are posted on the Governance section of the website.
